What Are Multiplication Strategies?
Multiplication is one of the core maths operations that students learn in elementary school, and it's important to outfit the with tools — or strategies — that help them understand and solve multiplication problems more easily.
In essence, that is what multiplication strategies are — methods students can use to find the product of any multiplication problem, based in core mathematical principles.
These aren't tricks that sometimes work but may also end up leaving students frustrated when they come across a problem where the 'trick' doesn't work. Multiplication strategies are problem solving avenues that can be applied to any multiplication problem.
