A-MAZE-ING Fun with 10 More, 10 Less!

Skip counting is the ability to count forward by a nominated interval (think: 2s, 5s and 10s), and ’10 more, 10 less’ challenges students further. However, the skill of finding 10 more or 10 less requires children to be able to find the number ten more or ten less than a given number. Help your students hone their new skill of skip counting in tens, and being able to jump forward and backward mentally in intervals of ten, with this fun skip counting worksheet!

This resource download includes 3 levels of the same maze worksheet, varied for student differentiation. It also includes answer keys for all three worksheets.

How to Use this Skip Counting Worksheet

Assign the most suitable maze based on student skill level, or have students begin at level 1 and work their way up. All mazes address the same learning objective, just at varying levels of complexity. Check work with the answer keys provided. Students will shade in the path from “start here” to “end here” based on their answers.

Tips for Differentiation + Scaffolding  

For students requiring additional support, begin by assigning the 1 star level maze. Provide hundreds charts and demonstrate how they can be used to assist during the worksheet.

Provide students a challenge by assigning the maze with 3 stars, and for fast finishers, have them create their own maze!
