Practise Converting 12 to 24 Hour Time With a Maths Game!

Some students may find it difficult to switch from the 12-hour clock format to the 24-hour system. The reason for this challenge is that time is an abstract concept that can be hard to grasp. Therefore, it is important for us to come up with fun and creative ways to help our students learn and enjoy the process of understanding this conversion.

Match the 12 and 24 Hour Time Memory Game

Help your students learn how to convert time from the 12-hour clock to the 24-hour system, you can make it fun for them by playing a Memory game. In this game, you’ll use two sets of coloured cards – one set representing a specific time in the 12-hour format, and the other set representing the same time in the 24-hour system.

The aim of the game is to match the pairs of cards that show the same time. This game is not only enjoyable for students, but it also helps them to understand and remember how to convert between the two different time formats. It’s a great way to reinforce their memory skills too!
