Multi-Digit Multiplication Worksheet

Learning how to multiply by a double-digit number is a skill that takes some practice! Beyond memorising individual facts, the process of completing multi-digit multiplication can be a bit tricky for some students. Whether you are teaching students to solve by the lattice method, area model or the standard algorithm, repeated practice is the key to success!

With this maths worksheet, students will solve nine problems that involve multiplying a 3-digit number by a 2-digit number. Each problem is set up vertically, providing ample space to complete each calculation.

An answer key is included with your download to make marking fast and easy!

In addition to independent student work time, use this worksheet as an activity for:

If there are students who are early finishers, encourage them to create their own problems, trade with a classmate and then solve them.

For students who need a bit of support, provide copies of a multiplication table to help with individual facts. Additionally, students can complete this activity in a 1-on-1 setting or with a small group.
