A 3D Shape Worksheet With a Difference!

Liven up your collection of 3D object worksheets with this 3D object profile template!

This resource provides students with the opportunity to explore the features of three different 3D objects of their choosing. Students must complete the following tasks to fill out the template:

  1. Draw a sketch of each chosen 3D object in the boxes provided. Alternatively, students can make a small model to be displayed on top of the template.
  2. Record the name of the sketched or modelled 3D object.
  3. Count and record the number of faces, edges and vertices that each object has.
  4. List some real-life examples of each 3D object.

    Hi. Just letting you know the 3rd section is missing the faces/vertices/edges writing!

      Hi Keeley, thanks for bringing this up. This was done intentionally, as it provides an opportunity for the students to write the labels themselves (further demonstrating their understanding). It also allows for use with objects that have curved surfaces/edges. Let me know if I can assist further!

    Could this be altered with 'vertices' in place of 'corners'?

      Hi Jenny, Thank you for your suggestion. I have altered the PDF to use the term 'vertices' rather than 'corners'. An editable Word Document is also available for those who wish to make any additional changes to the terminology. Please get in touch if we can help with anything else!
