Help your students understand the different aspects of a retell with this drawing to retell flipbook.
Retelling a Story in Drawings
Drawing to retell a story is a powerful and engaging educational resource that taps into children’s natural creativity and imagination. This flipbook has been thoughtfully created to encourage students to visually represent their understanding of a story, promoting comprehension and critical thinking.
After selecting an appropriate story that aligns with your class’s year level and objectives, read and present the story in a read-aloud. Engage your students in a discussion about the story and encourage them to share their thoughts, feelings, and key takeaways. Then, provide them with the flipbook and drawing materials to complete their retell. .
