5 Senses Activities Your Students Will ‘Flip’ For!

If you’re prepping to start teaching your early readers about the five senses, you’ve found the 5 senses activity your students are bound to ‘flip’ for! This year, you can ditch those tired, old 5 senses handouts and set your students up for success with brand-new Teach Starter resources for early learners.

This printable resource pack consists of five fun miniature flipbooks perfect for little hands to make, assemble, and read to learn about the five senses. Each single-page mini flipbook features an easy-to-cut template for students to create their own tiny flipbooks about each of the five senses. To assemble these 5 senses flipbooks, students will

  1. Cut out both rectangles, then along the dotted lines of the bottom rectangle.
  2. Use the top rectangle as the base of the book.
  3. Place the “flips” (the four pages cut out from the bottom rectangle) one on top of the other and glue/staple them to the base to create your flipbook.
  4. The ‘flip’ without the ‘Glue Here’ label is designed to be the top flap.

Once created, your students can have fun colouring and reading their 5 senses books to their friends, teachers, and family members.
