A colour wheel featuring the 6 primary and secondary colours.

Use this set of posters in your classroom to explain colour temperature and colour theory.

The colour theory posters cover:

Primary Colours: red, yellow and blue

Primary colours are the colours that can’t be mixed or formed by any combination of other colours. All other colours are made from these 3 hues.

Secondary Colours: green, orange and purple

These are the colours created by mixing two primary colours together.

Warm Colours are made with orange, red, yellow and combinations of these. Warm colours remind us of sunlight and heat.

Cool Colours such as blue, green and blue-purple remind us of water and sky.
