Using This Adverbs Worksheet Pack
Introduce this worksheet set to help your students learn that adverbs provide detail about how, when or where a verb is happening. As this resource contains answer pages, we suggest your first print one full copy of the file, remove the answer pages, and photocopy the student-facing sheets using the ‘booklet’ function of your copier, to ensure students receive all of the pages in order.
Or, mix and match! You may wish to use each worksheet as part of separate lessons. The choice is yours!
For students who require a challenge, set this as an independent task. Students complete the booklet individually without guidance. Ask students to write examples of alternate adverbs they think of throughout the booklet. Students self mark or mark as a class with student answers.
For students requiring additional support, provide an adverb word list on the wall or white board. Alternatively, print adverb word mats for students to use as assitance. Scaffold learners by reading each sentence or tricky words for students.
