Digital Alphabet Activities for Daily Practice

When life gives you lemons… you make lemonade. Here at Teach Starter, when we are given lemons, we turn them into digital learning opportunities! With this interactive phonics resource, students can practise letter identification and letter-sound correspondence in an engaging way that will make learning fun.

Our Letter L Interactive Activity is a great way to encourage children to use devices, explore technology, and relate letters to their sounds. Students will drag and drop interactive pieces on the slides to identify letters, build them, and sort objects by initial sound.

The aim of this activity is for students to demonstrate increased letter recognition skills and improved phonemic awareness.

Tips for Differentiation + Scaffolding

A team of dedicated, experienced educators created this resource to support your phonics lessons.

In addition to individual student work time, use this activity to enhance learning through literacy groups, whole-class lessons, or remote learning assignments.

Assuming you have a mix of above and below-level learners, we have a few suggestions for keeping all of your students on track with these concepts:

🆘 Support Struggling Students

Complete the activities in small groups or one-to-one learning sessions with the support of an adult.

➕ Challenge Fast Finishers

Engage your fast finishers to continue developing their letter recognition skills by completing an alphabet craft activity or an initial sound worksheet.

🧑‍🏫 Group Learning

Project the slides onto a screen and work through them collaboratively as a class.
