A fun match-up activity to consolidate your students' knowledge of uppercase and lowercase letters.

In this teaching resource, students match-up each lowercase letter of the alphabet with its uppercase.

Ways to use this match-up activity:

  • Print out, cut, and laminate the Alphabet Letter Match – Letters and store them in a ziplock bag. Students must find and match the uppercase and lowercase letters.
  • Print out the Alphabet Letter Match mat you would like for your students to work with. Hang it on a magnetic board. Give the students a set of magnetic letters to use. The students will place the corresponding magnetic letter inside each box.
  • Print out and laminate the lowercase Alphabet Letter Match mat. Give each student a set of small alphabet reward erasers and have them match the uppercase eraser letters with the lowercase letters on the mat.

This activity works great while working with reading groups or in a literacy center.
