These colourful letter sound flashcards are designed to help early readers confidently connect graphemes to phonemes for single letters of the alphabet. Perfect for classroom use, they provide a visual tool to strengthen foundational reading skills.
Each flash card includes a letter of the alphabet, along with a visual image and word that begins with that letter. Providing the students with a rhyme to help them remember with repetition of each letter.
Ways to Use Alphabet Letter Sound Cards
- Play a Memory Game! Print two copies of the cards. Lay the cards face down and have students take turns flipping two cards at a time to find matching pairs (e.g., both letter a cards), building recognition and memory skills.
- Sort and Match! Provide students with a letter of the alphabet and have them find that flashcard and say the rhyme.
- Create Your Own Alphabet Chart—Use the cards and create an alphabet chard to display in the classroom.
