Start a New Tradition on International Sloth Day

Did you know that sloths have their own holiday? It’s true! And for a good reason! International Sloth Day will be celebrated this year on Friday, October 20, 2023.

Sloths are adorable and extremely unique. But did you know that many species of sloths are at risk of extinction? That’s why AIUNAU, a non-profit foundation dedicated to protecting all forms of wildlife, created International Sloth Day in November 2010 to help people better understand these shy creatures. Use this event and our variety of resources to teach your students about endangered animals and how they can help protect this special creature on International Sloth Day.
