April Fools’ Day Writing Prompts 

Are you looking for a fun and engaging way to celebrate April Fools’ Day in your classroom? These April Fools’ Day writing prompt worksheets are the perfect way to get your students thinking creatively while also learning about the history and traditions of this celebration around the world.

Each worksheet contains a different writing prompt relating to April Fools’ Day. Some prompts may ask students to write a humorous story or dialogue, while others may encourage them to reflect on their own experiences with pranks and jokes. Students can work individually or in groups to complete the prompts, and they can share their writing with the class for a fun and interactive activity.

Turn this teaching resource into a sustainable activity by printing on cardboard and slipping it into a write-and-wipe sleeve. Students can record their answers with a whiteboard marker, then erase and reuse. 

Additionally, project the worksheet onto a screen and work through it as a class by having students record their answers in their notebooks.
