Who Invented the Black Box? 

The ‘Black Box’ invention is credited to Australian scientist Dr David Warren. In the 1950s, Dr Warren, who was working at the Aeronautical Research Laboratories in Melbourne, Australia, developed the idea of a cockpit voice recorder (CVR) and flight data recorder (FDR) combined into a single unit.

This device, commonly called the ‘Black Box,’ was designed to record and preserve crucial data and audio information during aircraft flights. From the day of its invention, it has proven itself as one of the most critical advancements in aviation history.
