Promote parent involvement and get to know your students better with a beginning-of-the-year parent survey template.
🤗🤩 First Day of School Family Surveys are Critical!
Time for a new school year, which means it’s time to get to know all about your students (and we mean the important stuff). This year, rather than asking your students, get their parents and guardians involved using our beginning-of-year parent/guardian surveys to get all of that important information on the first day of school!
What Questions to Ask Parents on the First Day of School?
Sometimes, different aspects of your students’ lives go unknown for an extended period of time. That’s why it’s important to get that information as soon as possible. This year, you can do that by using this survey to ask important questions such as…
- Are there any special traditions that your family enjoys together? Are there any special events or holidays that you do not participate in? This may include cultural or religious practices.
- Can you share any strategies or approaches that work well in supporting your child’s learning at home?
- Does your child have any dietary restrictions? This can include food allergies or things they cannot eat or drink.
- Are there any specific concerns or goals you have for your child’s learning and development this school year?
- And more!
This activity will make a great addition to your back-to-school parent information packets, and it will provide you with the priceless information you need to adapt to your students’ needs.
