Learning About the Beginning, Middle and End of a Story

This set of simple, yet effective classroom posters has been designed to remind students about the story elements that typically make up the beginning, middle and end of a story. The following questions are included to guide students:

  • Beginning – How does the story begin? Who are the characters? What is the setting?
  • Middle – What is the problem in the story? What happens to the characters?
  • End – How do they solve the problem? What is the solution?

The simplistic design of these posters ensure students aren’t overwhelmed with too many words or too much imagery.
