Best Practices for Blending Phonemes? Rule #1: Make It Fun!

This puzzle set uses a picture-based approach to help students practise producing words by blending phonemes.  Students will look at each phoneme, identify the sound and blend the phonemes to complete the puzzle. This game is a fun and educational way to practise making phoneme blends. This set of directions and 18 picture puzzles will make your classroom experience fun!

The 4-phoneme picture puzzles allow for multiple uses, such as an assessment tool, extra practice for reinforcement, or even an enrichment activity for those little ones who are finishing early!

Through this activity, students will enhance their ability to segment and blend the phonemes within words,  further improving their reading fluency.
