We’re Going on a Book Hunt!

If there’s one thing that primary-aged children love, it’s solving a puzzle!

This beautifully illustrated image contains characters from 23 different children’s novels, fairy tales and nursery rhymes. Your students must try and find them all!

Some of the much-loved children’s characters included in this resource are:

  • Harry Potter
  • Humpty Dumpty
  • Charlotte (from Charlotte’s Web)
  • Jack (from Jack and the Beanstalk)
  • Aslan (from The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe)
  • And many more!

Multiple Uses for Book Hunt Activity

This versatile resource can be used in various ways in your early years classroom. It can be used as a:

  • Whole-class activity (via smartboard)
  • Reading group task
  • Independent task

Why not make turn the activity into a competition? Place your students in groups and provide them with copy of the image. The first group to name all 23 characters is the winner!

Would love you to do another one of these for Book week this year. The 2018 one was very popular.
