Create a thank you card full of sweet notes for someone special with this 2-in-1 craft activity.
Make a Mini Notes DIY Thank You Card!
In this activity, students will create a mini notebook they’ll attach to the cover of their thank you card and fill it with friendly messages of thanks. Inside the card they can draw a picture, or write a special message to share with the recipient.
Students can share their creation with a friend, family member, or book-lover for events like:
- Library Lover’s Month (February)
- Book Week (August)
NEXT: Valentine’s Day is also Library Lover’s Day!
✂️ Hand Them The (Safety) Scissors
This template makes for a bonus cutting skills activity, depending on your students’ ages and abilities.
With adult supervision, fine motor skills such as cutting help students work multiple muscle groups and their brains, plus:
- strengthen finger and hand muscles
- build dexterity and fine motor skills
- improve hand-eye coordination
- develop focus and attention.
And all of these skills are necessary to use a pencil, a toothbrush, a fork; button a shirt, zip-up pants, tie shoes; write, type, and swipe.
Scissor skills are brain and muscle skills!
