Teach your students about calendars, days of the week, and months of the year with a Classroom Calendar Scoot Game!
Teaching the Months of the Year and Days of the Week
As teachers who work with young children, we often talk about the days of the week and months of the year. You see them each morning when you start your day with a morning meeting and every afternoon when you look over upcoming events with your students. Even though you practise them daily, it can still be hard for some students to understand. The concept of time and using a calendar can be challenging for students struggling with memory or language difficulties. So this year, we invite you to add more practise to your calendar activities with new calendar printables from Teach Starter!
Try a Days & Months of the Year Game of SCOOT!

This resource includes a set of 24 printable task cards! They are designed to help kids master the days of the week and months of the year, along with helping them read a basic calendar.
Each card features a multiple-choice question, and students are asked to identify the day of the week, month of the year, or date of an event on the calendar. These versatile task cards can be used in various ways – as a whole class activity, in small groups, or as an engaging game of SCOOT!
