A Gingerbread Man Disguise to Hide From Santa!

This display is built upon the following scenario, which is included in your resource download. We’ve added all you need to get students and parents involved in its creation. To begin, students meet the gingerbread man, who has an urgent message!

Dear Students,

I need your help! Christmas is almost here, and I’m scared! Santa’s favourite treat on Christmas Eve is a warm, soft Gingerbread cookie, and that’s me! While I love Santa and his elves, I really don’t want to be his midnight snack! Help me create a disguise to keep Santa from noticing me when he drops o his gis. Think of something unique or special and make me a costume. Your main goal is to dress me so that I don’t look like a cookie and remain uneaten. You could make me a ninja costume, or a knight, or maybe even Superman! Have fun and be creative! You may use any materials you like to make my disguise (except for food). Nobody wants ants spoiling Christmas morning!

Set your students to work disguising their gingerbread men, and then you can build your board! Decorate your hallway with fun decorations, and bring art into the classroom with this fantastic bulletin board kit! Your students will love being a part of creating their gingerbread man disguise, which can be added to the bulletin board. This kit comes with gingerbread templates, student and parent letters, Christmas writing prompts, bulletin board letters, and a bunting board set.

This resource download provides an easy Christmas-themed bulletin board that will last you through the Christmas season. Your students join in on the fun by creating a fun gingerbread man disguise to display their creativity.

  • An introductory letter for students
  • An introductory letter for parents (in case you’d like to do a parent-involved activity)
