Build letter recognition skills and add Christmas spirit to your literacy centres with a Letter Matching Christmas Game.
Print-Ready Christmas Activities for Early Years!
Get ready to roll out your preschool Christmas centres with printable activities from Teach Starter. This resource will present your students with a memory-matching activity to help them identify matching upper and lowercase letters.
In this hands-on matching activity, students will identify upper and lowercase letter cards, each offering an opportunity to discuss and match the capital letter with another card showing the lowercase letter.
To play, students lay out all cards face-down. They will then flip over two cards, trying to find a card and picture with matching beginning sounds. Correctly matching cards are kept to the side. In the end, the student with the most matching cards wins.
Through this activity, students can build upper-and-lowercase letter recognition.
