Creepy Comparisons! Fun Halloween Maths Activities

Halloween is one of the spookiest holidays of the year, and we want to make it as fun for your students as possible! Why not bring a bit of the (not so) scary season into your maths block with one of our comparing number practise activities?

This worksheet will help your year 2 students learn how to compare numbers using MAB blocks. They’ll also get practise reading word problems that use these concepts, so they can really put their skills to the test.

The worksheet includes a variety of questions that are perfect for a Halloween-themed maths activity.

Differentiate Your Halloween Worksheets

A team of dedicated, experienced educators created this resource to support your Halloween maths lessons.

In addition to individual student work time, use this Halloween worksheet to enhance learning through small groups or whole class lessons.

If you have a mixture of above and below-level learners, check out these suggestions for keeping students on track with the concepts:

🆘 Support Struggling Students

Help students who need support by inviting them to reference posters or anchor charts from previous lessons. This activity can also be completed in a small group.

➕ Challenge Fast Finishers

For students who need a bit of a challenge, encourage them to write their own maths story problems and complete them on a marker board.
