I Spy Compound Words! Seek and Find Interactive

Get ready for some classroom fun and a whole lot of learning with engaging new resources to teach your students about compound words. This year, we invite you to step outside the box and try something new with your students, starting with fun digital learning activities from Teach Starter!

This engaging, interactive activity improves the student’s ability to identify examples of compound words in a fun Search and Find ‘I Spy’ scenario. Using Google Slides, students will drag and drop to identify the examples of compound words represented by pictures of their word parts. They must then find the completed compound word hidden within a large group of options and drag it to complete the compound word sentence.

Digital Compound Word Activities for Maximum Engagement

This digital resource includes 12 digital drag-and-drop slides. Students can create four new compound words on each slide and identify them by locating the correct image to represent the new word. By the end of the activity, students will have been able to develop their vocabulary by adding 48 new words to their vocabulary!

This downloadable teaching resource is available as an Interactive Google Slides Activity. To get your new resource, click the download button. If you are using the Google Slides version, you will be prompted to make your own copy. From there, assign the activity to Google Classroom or another LMS and put your students to work! You can also use this activity as a whole group learning activity.
