Match the compound words with their matching word parts to solve this Compound Word Tarsia Puzzle.
It’s Time to Tarsia! Compound Word Puzzle Activity
Our fun and engaging Compound Words Tarsia Puzzle will help your students get the practise they need to successfully read, spell, and write compound words. The puzzle is made up of 10 pieces, with different compound words and their corresponding word parts on each piece.
To complete the activity, encourage students to cut apart all of the tarsia puzzle pieces. Students will then look to match corresponding word parts (ex. rain + bow) with the matching complete compound word. Students will glue the pieces together with correct answers touching in order to solve the puzzle.
Through this activity, students will show that they can match compound words with their broken-down word parts.
