Count objects and recognise numbers with a fun car-themed match-up style game.
🏁 Start Your Engines! Practise Counting Objects With Our Parking Lot Game
On your mark, get set, go! Students will have a blast with this counting objects parking lot game. This resource was developed for students to strengthen their number recognition and counting skills. Students will practise counting groups of 1–10 items.
To play, students will pick a car, identify the number, find the same number of objects on the game board, and move the car into the parking spot. Students will take turns until all of the parking spots are full.
Through this activity, students will show they can match numerals with a group of items showing the same number.

🆘 Support Struggling Students
Help students who need help understanding the concepts by counting the items on the board first and writing the number in each space. Additionally, provide access to previous assignments, as well as posters for students to recall past lessons.
➕ Challenge Fast Finishers
For students who need a bit of a challenge, encourage students to create an addition or subtraction sentence with the number they chose.
