Count objects within 20 and match the total to its written number on this 2-page cut-and-paste worksheet.
Cut and Paste Numbers to 20
Students will cut out the numbers found on the second page. Then they’ll count the total objects in each box and paste the correct number where it belongs. By completing this activity, students show they can use one-to-one correspondence when counting a set of objects to 20. They will also demonstrate that the last number counted is the total number in the set regardless of their arrangement or order.

A Variety of Ways to Prepare This Resource
Because this resource includes an answer sheet, we recommend you print one copy of the entire file. Then, make photocopies of the blank worksheets for students to complete.
You can also turn this teaching resource into a sustainable activity! Print a few copies on cardstock and slip them into dry-erase sleeves. Cut out the numbers and use velcro strips to attach the numbers to their place on the worksheet. Or have students practice writing numbers instead using a dry-erase marker.
Additionally, project the worksheet onto a screen and work through it as a class by having students record their answers in their notebooks.
