Build some sweet sentence writing skills using a fun Valentine’s Day Compound Sentence interactive activity.
Cupid’s Compound Sentences and Conjunctions Game
Add a little love to your grammar and writing lessons with our sweet compound sentence interactive game.
Simple, compound and complex sentences are essential to academic writing. Writing becomes boring, monotonous and sounds robotic without variation in the types of sentences used. Encourage your students to expand their writing by practising their skills by using coordinating conjunctions to build compound sentences. This activity will help students review their knowledge of these sentence structures.
This activity requires students to
- Read sentences and determine the correct coordinating conjunction to use in order to complete the sentence.
By practising this skill in an engaging way, students can strengthen their ability to identify and write these types of sentences more quickly and accurately in academic texts. This activity would make an engaging and fun literacy rotation on Valentine’s Day!
