This set of cut-and-paste worksheets is designed to support students in blending simple CVC words. Students will blend the sounds to read each word, then find the corresponding picture and cut and paste it into the designated box.

Phoneme Blending Activities for the Classroom
If you’re looking for some engaging activities to help build strong phonemic awareness and decoding skills to support your students as they learn to blend sounds. Then this resource along with other activities are great addition to your phonemic awareness lesson planning.
Here are some other activity ideas:
- Place letter cards on the floor and have students hop from one letter to the next, blending the sounds aloud as they go.
- Give students a string of beads, and as they say each sound, they slide a bead across, blending the sounds together at the end.
- Put objects in a bag and have students pull one out, then blend the sounds of the word that represents the object.
