A 63 slide editable PowerPoint Template for problem solving in mathematics.
This PowerPoint presentation has been designed to support teachers when teaching students about problem solving in mathematics.
It provides students with the opportunity to work through 20 maths word problems, identifying the important information and how they can work it out using a variety of methods.
Included after each word problem is questioning, to help encourage the students to discuss how they have worked out each problem.
After the question slide a detailed example of a solution is provided on a problem solving mat. This teaching resource can be used to prepare Year 3 students for the Numeracy NAPLAN test.
Is this free?
Hi Georgia, Thanks for reaching out! This resource is a premium one, but you can view our free library by visiting Pro tip: An easy way to tell which resources in our library are part of our free suite will have a 'free' sticker on the upper left-hand of the resource :) Any other questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to our support team via the chat icon at the bottom of the screen. Thanks!
Does this resource have a break down - step by step - of how to find the correct answer like the grade 2 and 4 ones do? I really like how it shows it clearly rather then just on the problem solving mat.
Hi Jo! This resource doesn't include that at the moment, however I'd recommend submitting a change suggestion using the changes & updates tab just above so you can be notified if this gets added!
