Looking for Decimal Place Value Worksheets?

Are your students working to increase their understanding of the place value system and the relationship between places? After students understand basic place value positions, they begin to interpret the value of each position as 10 times the position to the right and as one-tenth of the value of the place to its left.

Teach Starter has a fun “This or That?” worksheet for your students to improve their decimal place value skills. With this worksheet, students will use their place value skills to answer questions and justify their answers. It requires students to analyse two numbers to see which is the correct answer, then colour in “THIS” or “THAT.” The last item asks students to choose their own numbers and write their own questions.

Students will answer questions such as:

Which number below has a 3 that is 10 times more than the 3 in 7.306?

Which number below has a greater number in the tenths place than 1.605?

An answer key is included with your download to make marking fast and easy!
