Multiple Uses for This Diphthong Maze
This versatile diphthong maze can be used in many different ways in your classroom. Check out some suggestions from our experienced teacher team:
- English Centers: Set up an English center with printed mazes and let students work in pairs or individually. For sustainability purposes, place the mazes inside dry erase sleeves so that the page can be wiped clean and reused.
- Partner Challenges – Place your students in like-ability pairs. Have the students race each other to complete the mazes as quickly as possible while accurately calculating the perimeters of the composite shapes.
- Interactive Whiteboard Fun – Project the diphthong maze on an interactive whiteboard for whole-class participation. Students can take turns solving the word problems and choosing the right path.
