Set new goals for the school year with a printable goal setting template.
Start the New Year With Goals and Resolutions for Kids
Use this template when you want students to identify the steps they need to take to achieve a goal during the new school year. This helps students be accountable for their own learning goals.
The main goal will form the tip of the mountain. This is the goal that others will see once the task is finished.
Students then write the smaller tasks they will need to complete/keep in mind to help them achieve the main goal. These smaller parts might not be explicitly visible to others but will contribute to the main goal.
Climb the Achievement Mountain with a Goal-Setting Template
Use this goal template to help students stay on track and work towards their learning goals.
Collaborate with students to set three goals. These can either be cumulative goals, or goals that focus on three separate areas of their lives, for example, a learning, a social and a behavioural goal.
Write a shortened version of each goal in the top section, and elaborate upon these goals in the bottom section.
Another great feature of this worksheet is its ability to be a visual reminder while students are working. Fold the template in half, paste it in the rear cover of each student’s notebook or folder, and then unfold the top half of the page so that it sticks out from the edge of the book while the students are working!
