Help children learn about dressing for the environment by sorting clothing items into categories for warm climate and cold climate.
Looking for Weather Lessons for Foundation and Grade One?
Do you need weather and climate-related activities for your Early Years class? Are you looking for an activity to reinforce sorting and categorising? Well, look no further!
This printable is designed to help young learners learn about the differences between warm- and cold-weather clothes. Students will learn to identify which clothing items are required when living in warm and cold climates.
To play, students will shuffle the clothing cards and identify the item of clothing. They will then determine if the item is worn in warm or cold places and sort accordingly.
Through this activity, students will discover how the climate in an area affects the people who live there, including their choices of clothing, housing, and recreation. It makes a perfect introduction to a weather unit for kindergarten.
