Celebrate Paris with Eiffel Tower Craft

Get your students excited about the 2024 Paris Olympic and Paralympic Games with this engaging craft and writing activity featuring the iconic Eiffel Tower. This resource allows students to explore one of the world’s most famous landmarks that will feature in one of the world’s most significant sporting events!

This resource is a two-part activity that combines hands-on crafting with reflective writing:

  1. Pop-Out Eiffel Tower Craft – Students will create a 3D pop-out Eiffel Tower that they can decorate in their own individual style. Once completed, the pop-out Eiffel Tower is glued onto the background provided.
  2. Reflective Writing Prompt – After crafting their own Eiffel Tower, students will write about why they would want to visit Paris and the Eiffel Tower by finishing the sentence, “I want to visit the Eiffel Tower because…”.

This resource downloads as either an easy-print PDF or an editable Google Slides file.

Use This Eiffel Tower Craft During the Paris Games

Once your students have completed their Eiffel Tower craft and written reflection, why not have them share their creations with their peers and the wider school community? Here are some suggestions from our teacher team to get you started:

  • Display Student Work –  Once students have completed their Eiffel Tower craft and writing, showcase their work in the classroom or in the school hallway. Create a stunning display that celebrates both the beauty of Paris and your students’ creativity. Decorate the display with French flags, the Olympic rings or other themed elements to bring the excitement of the Games into your school.
  • Share with the School Community – Extend the celebration by sharing your students’ Eiffel Tower craft with the wider school community. Invite other classes to view the display, or create a virtual gallery to share on the school’s website or social media. This is a great way to build excitement for the Olympics and Paralympics and spark curiosity about Paris in general.
