A scavenger hunt where students search for 2D shapes in their surrounding environment.
Use this engaging teaching resource when exploring 2D shapes.
Students look for the various shapes in their surrounding environment, whether that be in their classroom, backyard or entire house.
The shapes can be found in pictures, on packaging, or as part of the play environment (e.g. a square-shaped window).
This can also be a fun learning from home activity. Engage older children by tasking them with recording the name of the object and its location for each shape they find.
