Go fishing for odd and even numbers with your students using this set of three worksheets.
🎣 Catch An Odd or Even Number
Use this adorable fishing-themed set of worksheets in individual learning or as homework so students can practise their knowledge of odd and even numbers. An answer sheet has been included, allowing for peer or individual marking. These worksheets can also work perfectly as an assessment piece to determine individual students’ odd and even numbers knowledge.
This set of three odd and even worksheets includes the following activities:
- Worksheet 1 – Fishin’ for Odds – students need to find the fish with odd numbers and colour them so the fisherman knows which ones to catch.
- Worksheet 2 – Fishin’ for Evens – students need to find the fish with even numbers and colour them so the fisherman knows which ones to catch.
- Worksheet 3 – Fishin’ for Odds and Evens – three fishermen have a certain number of odd fish and even fish they want to catch – students need to use this information and write the corresponding numbers in the fish beside each fisherman.
How To Use these Differentiated Odd and Even Worksheets
Here are the different ways these worksheets could work in the classroom during maths lessons:
- Reinforcement and review – these worksheets work great if you are revisiting the concept or as part of a warm-up activity to reinforce understanding.
- Extension activities – the third worksheet is slightly harder with both odd and even numbers being used and word problems.
- Assessment – assess students’ understanding of odd and even numbers with these worksheets.
- Introduction to the concept – complete the worksheets together as a whole class using a smart board.
- Individual practise – use worksheets during lessons as an individual activity to practise knowledge of odd and even numbers.
