National Science Week Has Gone Funky!

Printable, Easy and Fun Crafts for Kids 

This Funky Craft template is a versatile activity that taps into your students’ inspired creative sides—without needing anything more than a marker, scissors, and glue.

The funky scientist resource comes complete with three options for the craft base and a load of fun accessories to create a fun and funky scientist to display in the classroom. This printable craft activity is perfect for use as

• a kindy craft to practise cutting and colouring

To create your Funky Scientists Craft

1. Begin by having your students fill in the sections on the body template with random geometric patterns, spots, hearts, squiggles, etc. We recommend a black fine-tip marker or pen for this portion.
2. Once patterns are in, invite your students to colour their scientists in wild and wacky colours. They should then select and colour the accessories they want for their scientist. We also recommend printing one set of accessories for each pair of students to reduce paper use.
3. Have students cut out all pieces, then glue the funky scientist in the centre of a sheet of colourful paper.
4. Finally, have your students dress up their scientists with their fun accessories!
