Encourage students to make a friendship garden grow with this activity bundle that includes friendship worksheets, writing templates, craft templates and scenario cards.
Activities for Friendship
Recognising ways to be a good friend may not come easy to every student. Students may need additional support with recognising ways to make friends as well as actions that damage a friendship. Teach Starter has created a printable activity bundle for you to use with your students when learning about being a good friend.
This downloadable resource includes several activities to use with your students when discussing and encouraging friendship in the classroom. The activities include:
- Cut and paste worksheet where students will sort qualities of a good friend vs. a bad friend
- Writing templates to show how a student made someone’s friendship garden grow
- Templates to use when creating a friendship garden (watering can, flower pot, decorations, water drops)
- 12 prompt cards that show ways to blossom a friendship
When using the craft templates, encourage students to decorate a flower pot and watering can. Students can then decorate and colour each of the cut-outs. Students can then write ways to make a friendship grow inside each of the water drops. This can make a great classroom display!
