Help your students differentiate between insects and arachnids, plus other creepy crawlies, with a printable Insect Identification chart.
Insects vs. Arachnids vs. Centipedes…How Do You Tell The Difference?
Get ready to amaze your budding scientists with brand new resources to help them learn more about the amazing creepy-crawly creatures that share our planet. Chances are they either love them or hate them, but either way, it’s never a bad time to teach them how to tell the difference between an insect, arachnid, or another creepy creature.
This year, we invite you to inspire budding entomologies with lessons on Insect classification. Just like we classify animals based on features, insects are classified based on various characteristics such as wing structure, mouthparts, habitat, behaviour, and developmental stages. Scientists use physical, genetic, and other observations to determine the relationships between different insect groups.
