Who Was Sir Isaac Newton?
Isaac Newton was an English physicist, mathematician, and astronomer who lived from 1643 to 1727. He is considered one of the most significant scientists in history. Newton made groundbreaking discoveries and developed important theories in many different areas of science.
One of his most notable discoveries was about gravity. Newton observed that things fall to the ground because of gravity. He discovered that the same force that makes an apple drop from a tree also holds the Moon in its orbit around the Earth.
