Kindness in the Classroom

There are many ways that students can show kindness in the classroom. Here are some examples:

Smile and greet others: A simple smile and hello can make someone’s day. Students can greet their classmates and teachers with a friendly smile and a warm hello.

Offer help: Students can offer to help their classmates who may be struggling with an assignment or task. They can also offer to help their teacher with any classroom duties.

Show appreciation: Students can show appreciation by thanking their classmates and teachers for their hard work or for helping them out. A small thank-you note or verbal expression of gratitude can go a long way.

Sometimes a little motivation can help remind your students to be kind to others on a daily basis. Teach Starter has created a set of 3 kindness posters that you can use in your classroom to promote kindness and positivity.

Use our Kindness Posters in Your Classroom

The first poster features a quote by Aesop – “No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted.” This powerful statement encourages us to recognize the impact even the smallest acts of kindness can have on those around us.

The second poster showcases a quote by Anne Frank – “You can always, always give something, even if it is only kindness!” Anne’s words remind us that each of us has the power to make a positive impact in our world and that we can start taking action right now.

The third and final poster features an unknown author’s quote – “Kindness is a gift everyone can afford to give.” This beautiful quote reminds us that everyone has the ability to be kind, no matter their circumstances.  Unlike other gifts or acts of generosity that may require resources, such as money or time, kindness is something that can be given freely and without any cost.
