How to Write Learning Objectives
It’s important to understand what a learning objective is. A learning objective is what the classroom teacher wants the children to learn or achieve at the end of the lesson. Sometimes, teachers call this WALT (We Are Learning TO) and WILF (What I’m Looking For). The learning objective for your lesson must be measurable. To make this easier, start your objective with… ‘Students will be able to…’
Here’s an example of a learning objective:
Students will be able to identify four 3D objects and their properties
A good learning objective should identify an audience, give a measurable behaviour and describe the circumstance.
