Australia and Its Neighbours: Timor-Leste

While the continent of Australia is also a single country, it is surrounded by many island nations that we consider to be our neighbours. One such nation is Timor-Leste.

Timor-Leste is located to the north of Australia in the Timor Sea. It comprises the eastern end of the island of Timor. The western part of the island is part of Indonesia. The capital city of Timor-Leste is Dili.
