What Is Informal Measurement?

Informal measurement refers to measuring items using everyday objects or uncommon tools instead of standard tools like rulers, scales, or measuring devices. Informal measurement is often the first form of measurement instruction in early education, so ensuring students grasp the concept and retain their learning is important.
