Create a Seasons and Months Display

Provide a visual reminder for students to help them keep track of the months that make up each of the four seasons in the Southern Hemisphere. These colourful printable posters come as a pack so you can easily set up a classroom display that covers the entire year!

Each poster includes an image associated with the characteristic of the individual season, plus a list of the months of each season from summer through spring. Aligned to the Australian V9 Curriculum, the posters will help students meet both maths and science standards.

What Are the Seasons and Months in the Southern Hemisphere?

Here in the Southern Hemisphere, the seasons and months are the opposite to those in the Northern Hemisphere due to the Earth’s tilt on its axis. The four seasons are:

  • Summer — December to February
  • Autumn — March to May
  • Winter — June to August
  • Spring — September to November
