Templates that students can compare and review a movie and a book with the same title, then construct them into a 3D popcorn box and movie drink cup.
This teaching resource gives students an opportunity to review and compare the same storyline between a book and a movie. There are a lot of movies that are inspired by books, but there are always creative differences between the two, setting them apart in some way. Students will be able to use their knowledge to write comparisons, summaries, character observations, personal reviews and publishing/production details. After completing the two review templates, students will be able to create their own 3D popcorn box and movie drink cup.
You can use these review templates to enrich a literacy unit or use them as a creative and productive way to reflect on a novel you have read by watching a movie at the end of a term, then comparing the two. Students will also love compiling their own 3D movie objects.
Blank templates are also available to download for other creative ideas.
