Differentiate This Multiplying Decimals Activity
The teachers at Teach Starter understand the pressure educators are under to differentiate their lessons to meet the educational needs of all students. Here are some ideas you might like to implement in order to ensure that all students can thrive when working on this multiplying decimals activity:
- If there are students who need additional support, choose to use the task cards with the least number of digits. Some task cards use numbers that have two and three digits, while others use four. You could also provide less-confident students with a multiplication chart to help with basic maths facts.
- For students who need a bit of a challenge, encourage them to sort their answers in order from the lowest answer to the highest. Additionally, consider using the editable version to modify problems to extend to the thousandths place.
