Teach your students about narrative elements with this double-sided flipbook.
What Are Narrative Elements?
We’re glad you asked! Narrative elements are the essential components that can be found in most narrative texts. Characters, setting, plot, mood and theme are all narrative elements.
This hands-on flipbook has been designed to help your students understand the concept of narrative elements using a text they are familiar with. The students are required to identify each element in a book they have read, then record them in the flipbook. The best thing is, the flipbook also contains a definition of each element to remind and guide students as they complete the task!
In completing this activity, students will learn more about the following story elements:
- Characters
- Setting
- Problem and Solution
- Beginning
- Middle
- End
